PNC Music Garden
Children in Central Kentucky can now create a soundtrack to their learning experience with a newly dedicated PNC Music Garden in Elizabethtown.
The learning-through-play experience has become a popular attraction for children in the community. It includes multiple colorful musical instruments and art features in a fully accessible space where art, music and nature come together in perfect harmony. The garden is located next to the Home of Philanthropy, near the Hardin County Public Library.
“You have exposure to music, play, reading and books all in one location,” said Donna Fohl, whose grandson Duke was bouncing between the instruments of the music garden. “Developmentally, it’s what they need, and it’s free.”
The Music Garden is thanks to a nearly $50,000 grant from the PNC Foundation’s Grow Up Great initiative to Central Kentucky Community Foundation.
