Ways to Engage

Partners in Philanthropy: Fulfilling Local Nonprofit Needs

Learn about specific needs in the community and provide grants that align with your giving priorities through our Granted program.

Corporate Giving Funds

Organize all your company’s philanthropy under one structure, without the tax paperwork and legal fees of a private foundation. Focus on one area of interest, designate proceeds to a community grant fund, create an employee assistance fund, or leave your options open as a Donor Advised Fund. The possibilities are endless.

Community Initiative Sponsorship

Underwrite efforts to empower nonprofits’ effectiveness, convene stakeholders to solve community challenges, or inspire generosity through supporting a giving circle.

Matching Gift Programs

Celebrating 65 Years of
Community Collaboration

Central Kentucky Community Foundation (CKCF) began in 1960 as the North Central Education Foundation. It merged with The Heartland Community Foundation in 2011, broadening its mission beyond education to serve the entire Lincoln Trail Region. Over the years, CKCF has awarded millions in scholarships and supported numerous local nonprofits, making a significant impact on the community.

In 2018, CKCF established the Home of Philanthropy in Elizabethtown, reinforcing its community commitment. By the end of 2023, CKCF’s assets grew to $36 million, managing 225 funds and awarding $1.8 million in grants. Celebrating 65 years, CKCF remains dedicated to enhancing life in Central Kentucky through community collaboration and support.
