Brianna and Brice Taylor Memorial Scholarships

Leaders and role models to their fellow peers, Brice and Brianna Taylor were beloved students of Elizabethtown High School. When their lives were cut tragically short just days apart, their family decided to honor their lives with the creation of separate memorial scholarships in their name. 

Brice and Brianna shared many similarities, including a passion for athletics, especially baseball and softball, and being kind to others. Because of their passion for athletics, academic success and their leadership, the scholarships honor students who mirror the siblings’ accomplishments.

The Brianna Taylor Memorial Scholarship and Brice Taylor Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to a female and male respectively who has their heads and hearts in the game, just as the siblings did at school, sports, and in their community. The scholarship is awarded to an Elizabethtown High School graduate and funded in part by proceeds from the Angels in the Outfield Softball Tournament.

Brice Taylor was one of those special types of people that made a difference in the lives of every person he met. Brice made his own path in life by being a beloved friend to his peers, a role model to his amazing sister Brianna, and leader in the school and community. He held several leadership positions in clubs during his time at EHS. He always walked with a positive demeanor and treated everyone he talked to with the same compassion and respect. Brice continued to play baseball beyond high school at Berea, where he received a full scholarship.

Brianna Taylor had a smile that lit up every room she walked into, and she never met a stranger. She loved her family with all her heart and was proud of her Elizabethtown High School heritage. She was always willing to help those in need and did everything she could to make those around her smile. She viewed not only her softball team, but all her friends, as family and was a source of strength for those she was close to. Brianna was an all-around student and person; she excelled on the field and in the classroom.
