Brice Taylor Memorial Scholarship

A leader, role model, and beloved friend, Brice Taylor was one of those special types of people that made a difference in the lives of every person he met. Brice made his own path in life by being a beloved friend to his peers, a role model to his amazing sister Brianna, and leader in the community. He always walked with a positive demeanor and treated everyone he talked to with the same compassion and respect.

While at Elizabethtown High School, he was the class treasurer from 2009 to 2012, was recognized in the 2011 National Council of Youth Leadership, attended the 2010 National Youth Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C., and was a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Friends of Rachel. He was also on the EHS baseball team from junior high until graduation and was the team captain in 2012, his senior year. He received a full scholarship to Berea where he continued to play baseball in the 2012 and 2013 season and returned to attend ECTC in 2013 and 2014 pursuing a degree in business.

After Brice’s death at the young age of 20, his family decided to keep his memory alive by setting up the Brice Taylor Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded each year to a well-rounded young man who knows classwork is as important as time spent practicing on the field. The scholarship is awarded to an Elizabethtown High School graduate and funded in part by proceeds from the annual Angels in the Outfield Softball Tournament held each summer.
