“It is rewarding to help our donors invest in students through our scholarship program, Scholarship Central,” said Davette B. Swiney, President and CEO of CKCF. “Their commitment to future generations and the importance of education is truly something that makes our community special. It is an honor to support students from across our region as they pursue their educational and life goals.”

The Dr. Jim Own Memorial Scholarship is one of 98 scholarships being awarded by CKCF this year through Scholarship Central. The scholarships total nearly $115,000 and were awarded to 81 students at eight high schools and two colleges in the region.
